MFA's Free Movie 'n Munchies Nite Featuring The Gripping New HBO Documentary, Death On A Factory FarmMonday, November 30, 2009
Join Mercy For Animals for a free screening of a gripping new HBO documentary, Death on a Factory Farm, about pork production, politics and the law in Ohio. This eye-opening exposé reveals that nothing is as it seems in the halls of justice or down on the farm.

In Death On A Factory Farm, directors Tom Simon and Sarah Teale (HBO's Dealing Dogs) tell the story of an animal rights investigator who goes undercover at a hog farm in Ohio to explore a whistle blower's allegations. The evidence he gathers leads to a rare prosecution and trial for animal cruelty, and a verdict that surprises nearly everyone. Complimentary delicious vegan food provided.

MFA Hosts a Fun & Informative Lobby for the Animals Presentation featuring the NC State Director of The Humane Society of the United States!Monday, February 22, 2010
Join Mercy For Animals as we host the NC Director of The Humane Society of the United States(HSUS), Kim Alboum, and other animal advocates to discuss current issues affecting animals in North Carolina.

The HSUS is working on several projects to improve life for North Carolina's animals, and they cannot be effective without our help. If you are concerned about puppy mills, canned hunts, local animal issues, factory farming or just generally creating a more compassionate North Carolina, you should attend this informative and motivational meeting to learn how you can take action for animals.

Even if you have attended one of our grassroots meetings in the past, join us again to refresh your skills and meet other local animal advocates. We will show you basic lobbying techniques for citizen activists and provide information regarding some of the bills and issues being considered this year.

Remember to bring your nine-digit zip code so we can target issues in your area...and don’t forget to invite your friends! Complimentary vegan food provided!

RSVP today to kaylaw@MercyForAnimals.org or 828-231-6859 to lend your voice for animals and make a difference in North Carolina. Hope to see you there!
