Graphic Designer

 

Terms of Employment: Full-time, At Will

Reports to: U.S. Director of Communications, MFAC Director of Operations

Position Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Objective:

To produce high-quality graphic design content for the organization’s varied needs in a timely, competent manner. This includes, but is not limited to, memes, websites, emails, brochures, donor materials, magazines, and organization documents. Keep up-to-date on the digital landscape with intimate knowledge of the latest social media, content, and emerging technology platforms.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with directors across all departments to develop, produce, and edit all graphic content of the organization as assigned
  • Oversee graphic layout of Compassionate Living magazine
  • Create and execute all educational leaflets and department material
  • Create and execute all development-related materials, including new donor packets, email solicitations, websites, peer-to-peer services, and event material
  • Oversee graphic and creative layout for MercyForAnimals.org, ChooseVeg.com, investigations websites, and any other organizational website
  • Work with the merchandise department to create compelling designs for products as well as email and social media advertisements
  • Participate in the creative development of viral memes and gifs and see them through production
  • Discover and create new recurring graphic formats to post on MercyForAnimals.org, social media, and other graphic sharing services
  • Follow all human resource and operational procedures
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Position Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • A compelling graphic design portfolio that illustrates design skills and experience
  • Minimum of three years of previous experience in graphic design
  • Proficiency in Adobe and other related programs
  • Ability to work well in a team, take direction, demonstrate initiative, and represent MFA professionally
