MFA’s Writers Group knows that the pen can be mightier than the sword. A well-written and thought-provoking letter to the editor of a newspaper has the potential to reach thousands of consumers with unedited information on the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, the horrors of the fur industry, and the shameful truth of animal cruelty under the big top.

Every month MFA’s Writers Group spreads the message of compassion by tackling current and crucial animal rights issues. Before a circus arrives in an Ohio town, the Writers Group sends letters to the editors of local papers exposing the circuses history of USDA violations. In celebration of the Great American Meat-Out letters are sent to papers making the connection between heat disease, cancer, and stroke, and the consumption of animal products. Letters from the Writers Group have been published in papers across the state of Ohio.
