Kate Winslet’s Self-Care Is Eating Vegan

In a new interview with InStyle, actress and vegetarian Kate Winslet revealed that her self-care routine included lots of vegan juicing. Kate’s husband recently went vegan, inspiring her to be a bit more creative with food.

The Academy Award-winning actress and mother of three stated:
Our fridge is always full of spinach, kale, cucumbers. I’m vegetarian and my husband is vegan, so there’s a lot of plant-based focus in our home. My husband turning vegan is relatively recent, so that’s been a really fun education because you have to learn to be a little more inventive with foods.
An outspoken critic of cruel foie gras, Kate joins celebrities Moby, Miley Cyrus, Woody Harrelson, Kat Von D, Erykah Badu, and many others speaking in favor of veganism.

In fact, Kate’s BFF and Titanic and Revolutionary Road co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, is a staunch supporter of veganism as a way to fight climate change. The award-winning actor invested in vegan companies Beyond Meat and HIPPEAS and produced the eye-opening documentary Cowspiracy.

A longtime environmentalist and animal advocate, Leonardo says, “Shifting from animal meat to the plant-based meats developed by Beyond Meat is one of the most powerful measures someone can take to reduce their impact on our climate.

There’s no doubt that celebrities can use their influence to change the world. Whether producing documentaries, speaking out against cruel factory farms, or sharing plant-based recipes, celebrities are using their platforms to help farmed animals.

From throwing chicks into macerators to tearing baby cows from their mothers, factory farmers routinely abuse animals. What’s worse, this systematic torture is actually legal. Fortunately, by going vegan you can easily withdraw your support from this inhumane industry.

By eating more plant-based meals, these celebs are protecting animals, the planet, and their health. Join them by ordering a FREE Vegetarian Starter Guide today, and check out our Pinterest page for thousands of recipe ideas.
