Mercy For Animals Named “Favorite Nonprofit of 2016” by VegNews Magazine Readers

Every year, VegNews magazine gives its readers the opportunity to vote for the best of the best in all things vegan through the Veggie Awards. The biggest annual survey of everything vegan-friendly, the Veggie Awards include favorites categories like vegan celebrities, new products, restaurants, sanctuaries, and more.

The results from the 2016 polls have just been released, and Mercy For Animals has been named “Favorite Nonprofit of 2016!

With the popularity of veganism on the rise, it should come as no surprise that VegNews reports a record-breaking 1.7 million votes cast in this year’s poll. And MFA is honored to have won the “people’s choice for favorite nonprofit organization!

But this isn’t the first time MFA has been the recipient of a Veggie Award. The first organization to receive the honor twice, MFA was named “Favorite Nonprofit Animal Organization” in 2011 and 2012.

From our groundbreaking undercover investigations, which have led to landmark criminal prosecutions of animal abusers, to our creative and effective global grassroots advocacy, MFA’s dedicated team of interns, volunteers, and staff have been working around the clock to create a kinder world for animals.
