Known for her role on the Nickelodeon series Victorious, Daniella Monet has launched a vegan food video series on Facebook.
On the page, Monet writes:
In an effort to save the planet, animals, and your health, I’m exposing everyday meat-eaters to VEGAN food, (for the first time) and essentially taking your V card!
The actress has been a longtime vegan activist, attending Mercy For Animals’ annual gala for the past two years. She has followed a plant-based diet for nearly 16 years and loves to try new vegan food.
Monet is part of a long list of celebs who have decided to ditch meat, dairy, and eggs. Most recently, Orange Is the New Black stars Danielle Brooks and Laverne Cox, The Office star Craig Robinson, singer Jason Derulo, and actress Edie Falco announced they’d switched to a vegan diet.
Eating plant-based foods is a great way to protect your health, the environment, and of course, farmed animals.
From throwing chicks into macerators to tearing baby cows from their mothers, factory farmers routinely abuse animals. What’s worse, this systematic torture is actually legal. Fortunately, by going vegan you can easily withdraw your support from this inhumane industry.
