Samuel L. Jackson’s Gone Vegan to Live Forever

According to “Ecorazzi,” while promoting the new Marvel film, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Jackson credited his vegan diet for his newfound slim physique. When asked whether his plant-based diet was in preparation for a particular role, he explained: “No. Just trying to live forever.”

This news comes on the heels of a “Time” article published earlier this month, which showcased the overwhelming health benefits of a meat-free diet.

Dozens of studies have revealed that vegetarians are less likely to suffer from high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. They are also less likely to be overweight, and have a lower overall risk of death from disease. And on top of it all, people who ditch meat have even proven to be in better moods!

Just last year, Loma Linda University School of Public Health found that veg men in particular were 12 percent less likely to die of any cause than their meat-eating counterparts.
