In the past few years, more and more celebrities have been excited to share their views on meat-free living. Popular daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has devoted a section of her talk show’s website–Going Vegan with Ellen–to all things vegan. President Bill Clinton appeared on CNN to discuss how transitioning to a plant-based diet has greatly improved his health. And, most recently, Hollywood superstar Anne Hathaway showed up on the red carpet with vegan shoes designed by Tom Ford. The actress’s luxurious wedding in Big Sur was also entirely vegan.
And this is only the beginning. As people become increasingly aware of the horrible conditions on factory farms and of the health and environmental benefits of cruelty-free eating, demand for meat, dairy, and eggs continues to decline.
