According to Haaretz, “An
estimated 10,000 people participated in an animal rights march in Tel Aviv on
Saturday night, the largest demonstration of its kind ever held in Israel. The
parade, now in its third year, was held to raise awareness of the violation of
animal rights.

Holding signs protesting the consumption of animals, marchers
called for a move towards a vegan lifestyle and an end to the shipment of live
calves and lambs from Europe and Australia.
This should come as no surprise.

Earlier this year, Reuters reported that
a vegan revolution is underway in Israel. Surveys reveal that 5 percent of the
population is vegan, 8 percent identifies as vegetarian, and a whopping 13
percent is considering making the switch.

Tel Aviv was recently
named a top destination for vegan travelers by U.S. food website The Daily
Meal, boasting some 400 food establishments that are certified “vegan friendly
by a national animal rights group.
No matter where you live, going vegan has never been easier.
