Over 30 Incredible Artists Performed in Mercy For Animals’ First Online Concert

On Saturday and Sunday, Mercy For Animals hosted a virtual concert featuring more than 30 inspiring musicians! Appropriately named Voices of Compassion, the two-day event streamed on Facebook LiveIGTV, and Twitter and amassed more than 150,000 views. The lineup included Grammy Award winners Mýa and Joss Stone; Latin Grammy winner Sie7e; American Idol star Catie Turner; and Broadway stars Ryan McCartan, Alex Boniello, Kathryn Gallagher, Nellie McKay, and Jake Epstein.

In these uncertain times, coming together and spreading love, encouragement, and support is more important than ever. Mercy For Animals president Leah Garcés stated:
Thank you to all the artists and musicians who took the time to share their gifts with our audience. Now more than ever, we recognize the power of music to give us hope, comfort, and inspiration during these unprecedented times.
With performances ranging from heartfelt original songs to masterful covers of old favorites, Voices of Compassion was truly a concert to remember. Here is the full lineup:

Our Voices of Compassion virtual concert is just one of the ways Mercy For Animals is helping connect and empower people during the COVID-19 pandemic. We recently partnered with Community Solidarity—America’s largest vegetarian hunger-relief organization—and donated 2,000 meals to those in need in New York City at two of Community Solidarity’s food shares.

Mercy For Animals has also compiled a bunch of online resources for those practicing social distancing, including handpicked recipes, activities, and simple actions to take for animals and vegan businesses.
