Mellow Mushroom’s New Vegan Menu Debuts Nationwide

MFA Volunteer March 10, 2015
Following the trend of more plentiful veg options at chain
restaurants, Mellow Mushroom recently
introduced a vegan menu
that’s now available at its more than 150 U.S.
locations.
In the past, Mellow Mushroom has
offered vegan pizzas featuring
Daiya cheese
and an “ancient grains or gluten-free pizza crust, but never an entire menu of
delicious vegan options.
“The vegan menu includes their
already-popular Mega-Veggie Pizza, Thai Dye Pizza and Gluten-Free Veg Out Pizza,
as well as vegan pretzels, hummus, Greek salad, spinach salad, the house
calzone and three types of hoagies (with both tofu and tempeh offered as
proteins), reports
Nashville Scene.
Mellow Mushroom is just one of many restaurants meeting the growing
demand for veg options:
Ikea, Chipotle,
and
White
Castle
have also added meat-free menu items.
