Lindsey’s passion for animal protection began at a young age when she witnessed the cruelty of animal captivity at a local aquarium. Watching a mother beluga whale and her calf swim in endless circles—a behavior caused by stress and confinement called “stereotypy”—sparked her interest in how humans treat animals and inspired her to seek ways to prevent harm. As her advocacy evolved, she increasingly focused on farmed animals, recognizing the urgent need to protect them—after all, a staggering 99% of animals used for food are raised at factory farms.
As Mercy For Animals’ director of fundraising campaigns, she is excited to work alongside the passionate Animal Allies network to create a world where all animals are respected, protected, and free.
