Chicagoans Get a Vegan Feed-In On the Go

Nathan Runkle November 23, 2010

On Saturday, Mercy For Animals teamed up with the Vegan Food Truck of Chicago to expose hundreds of Chicagoans to delicious, cruelty-free fare.

IMG_3994.jpgfeedinpic.jpgStocked with trays of savory vegan mac ‘n cheese and spicy BBQ strips from Soul Vegetarian, MFA volunteers hit the streets of Wicker Park in Chicago, much to the delight of passersby. For most, it was their first taste of hearty vegan food and many gladly took a copy of MFA’s Vegetarian Guide to Chicago. Additionally, MFA volunteers handed out 300 Compassionate Choices booklets, directly educating hundreds of folks about the plight of farmed animals.
