The recent landmark agreement to phase out cruel factory farming practices in Ohio was a direct result of the tireless effort of MFA’s volunteers and supporters. Although progress was made to lessen the suffering of millions of farmed animals in Ohio, there is no time to rest on our laurels.
• A phase-out of veal crates• A phase-out of gestation crates• A moratorium on permits for new battery-cage confinement facilities for laying hens• A ban on strangulation of farmed animals and other on-farm killing methods not included in the standards of the American Veterinary Medical Association• A ban on the transport of downer cows for slaughter
