Compton Unified Is Latest School District to Adopt Meatless Mondays

Vegetarian-school-Queens-NYC.jpgCalifornia school district Compton Unified has joined the expanding Meatless Mondays movement by offering exclusively vegetarian meals at all 35 of its K-12 public schools at the start of every week.

The list of school districts throughout the country that have adopted Meatless Mondays is continually growing and truly impressive. Public schools in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Baltimore, Detroit, Miami, Buffalo, Oakland, and Albuquerque unified districts have all disavowed meat on Mondays.
