Dollop of Cruelty: Animal Abuse Exposed at Daisy Brand Dairy

Heartbreaking cruelty to animals has been uncovered at Daisy Farms in Texas—a massive dairy factory farm and supplier to Daisy Brand sour cream and cottage cheese.

The disturbing video by PETA broke this morning on CBS News and showed newborn calves, who had been ripped away from their mothers, choking and gagging as workers forced feeding tubes down their throats. Cows who were pregnant or had just given birth were kicked, beaten, and stabbed with pens and knives.

After having their horn buds painfully burned out of their skulls with caustic paste, hours-old baby calves were isolated in plastic hutches, unable to nurse from their mothers or see any other calves.

Multiple undercover investigations by Mercy For Animals have exposed sickening and often illegal animal abuse at dairy factory farms across North America, including workers viciously beating, stabbing, and dragging sick and injured cows. In fact, every time MFA investigators go behind the closed doors of dairy factory farms they document acts of blatant cruelty and violence that shock and horrify most people.
