Dunkin’ Donuts Offering Almond Milk

Ari Solomon September 5, 2014

This week, Dunkin’ Donuts announced that it will be offering sweetened, vanilla almond milk as an option in its hot or iced coffees and lattes in select cities. The announcement comes after a partnership with Blue Diamond, the company that produces Almond Breeze.

According to Dunkin’ Donuts, this was a decision made after customers requested nondairy versions of their popular coffee drinks. No doubt many of those customers were fueled by a years-long Compassion Over Killing campaign urging Dunkin’ Donuts to carry vegan options.

Could vegan donuts be in the near future? We hope so! But leaving some positive feedback on Dunkin’ Donuts Facebook page couldn’t hurt either.

Since 1970, cow’s milk consumption has fallen a whopping 40 percent in the United States, while sales of nondairy milk alternatives have soared by 30 percent just since 2011. This is fantastic news for cows who are needlessly abused and exploited on oppressive factory farms.

With delicious vegan versions of ice cream, yogurt, milk, and cheese ever more abundant, there has never been a better time to ditch dairy for good. Learn more at ChooseVeg.com.
