The chain is taking on Big Ag, particularly factory farming, with a four-part series to be featured on Hulu.

The satirical series “Farmed and Dangerous,” which premieres on February 17th, aims to make “consumers more curious about where their food comes from,” according to Chipotle’s chief marketing and development officer, Mark Crumpacker.

Crumpacker adds: “By making complex issues about food production more understandable–even entertaining–we are reaching people who have not typically been tuned into these types of issues.”

As “The New York Times” explains, “The company hopes that preaching the gospel of sustainable agriculture will translate into consumers buying their fast food at Chipotle.”
