Great news! Ikea will soon offer a vegan version of its
classic Swedish meatballs at all locations!
According to The
Huffington Post
, “The meatballs will be in store from April onwards, and
reflects the growing trend for all things vegan.
The news comes on the heels of an online petition urging the
company to add vegan options to its café menus. This welcome new addition is
sure to cater to a wider audience and spare countless animals a lifetime of
suffering.
Meanwhile, the number of vegan options at popular restaurant
chains continues to grow. In fact, just last year
Johnny
Rockets
debuted a test menu featuring products from Gardein, the creators of delicious meat
alternatives that include chick’n sliders and fishless filets.
Friendly’s
also began offering a Gardein veggie burger to its throngs of customers last
September.
