Israel Goes Vegan

Sarah Von Alt November 6, 2014
An article published by JSpace News
highlights the growing vegan population in Israel.
According to the author, “In the last few years in Israel,
the number of vegans has skyrocketed. … Vegan advocates group Vegan Friendly
now estimate that there are 300,000 vegans in the tiny country, or
approximately 4 percent of the total population. That makes Israel the vegan
capital of the world, with more people per capita eschewing all animal products
in their diet than any other nation.
The article continues, “The increase may be due, in part, to
the ready availability of vegan food choices around the country. In fact, just
last year, Domino’s Pizza in Israel
debuted
a cruelty-free pie
that features vegetables and a soy-based cheese.
There’s never been a better time to join this global trend
and ditch animal products in favor of humane vegan versions of all your
favorites. For more information, check out
