MFA Champ Crosses the Finish Line for Animals

Nathan Runkle October 15, 2010

10-10-10 was an inspiring, fulfilling and exhausting day for MFA supporter, co-founder of DallasVegan.com, and vegan fitness enthusiast, Jamey Scott. Donning a white MFA logo athletic shirt, Jamey crossed the finish line of the Chicago Marathon – completing an impressive 26-mile run.

And while completing the Chicago marathon, one of the nation’s largest, is testament to Jamey’s personal strength, and incredible vegan-powered endurance, it also raked in major support for MFA. During training for the event, Jamey had his eye on the prize – raise $1,000 for MFA. He exceeded his goal, thanks to the outpouring of support from members around the country. All of the money Jamey raised will benefit MFA’s lifesaving work.
After his race, he enjoyed a yummy vegan meal at The Chicago Dinner with the MFA staff – a perfect ending to such a great weekend for Jamey and the animals.
Congrats Jamey Scott!
