Second Annual NYC Vegetarian Food Festival Draws Colossal Crowds

Thousands of New Yorkers got a taste of the vegan lifestyle at the Second Annual NYC Vegetarian Food Festival. The two-day event featured dozens of vegan food vendors, including V-Spot, Vegan Bodega, and The Regal Vegan, and non-profit organizations from across the country, including Mercy For Animals.

sara-nyc-vegetarian-food-festival-2012_normal.jpgMercy For Animals hosted a large educational booth, as well as a “Paid-Per-View” station, where over 300 non-vegetarian festival-goers were paid $1 to watch 4 minutes of MFA’s hard-hitting documentary Farm to Fridge. After watching, several heart-broken viewers spent their dollars buying Farm to Fridge DVDs to share the moving footage with friends and loved ones.
