The eighth annual Taking Action for Animals Conference will be held in Washington, D.C., from July 27th through July 30th. The 2012 TAFA Conference will include workshops on a wide range of topics, including becoming a citizen lobbyist, fundraising for nonprofits, and harnessing the media to communicate effectively for animals.
Guest speakers include prominent figures in the animal advocacy movement, including MFA’s Executive Director Nathan Runkle, New York Times bestselling author Kathy Freston, and Headline News’ Jane Velez-Mitchell.

In addition, animal advocates from across the country will converge in Washington, D.C., for the annual Animal Rights National Conference, from August 2nd through August 5th. Complete with nearly 80 acclaimed speakers representing 60 organizations, this is the world’s longest-running animal advocacy symposium.
