Get ready, East Coast! The largest and longest-running animal rights gathering in the United States (and the world), the Animal Rights National Conference, will be held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center July 25–28, 2019, in Washington, DC.
The annual conference, which started in 1981, welcomes thousands of passionate animal advocates, authors, and celebrities from around the world. Whether you’re a seasoned activist or new to animal advocacy issues and interested in learning more, everyone’s invited. Mercy For Animals is a proud sponsor of this exciting and informative four-day event.
Guests can expect to enjoy a diverse program, with more than 100 knowledgeable presenters from over 60 organizations in the animal protection movement. Mercy For Animals president Leah Garcés will speak at this year’s conference, along with Katie Vann, global evaluation and impact manager; Alan Darer, director of food policy; and Steven Rouk, research and analytics specialist.
The conference prides itself on being “the only national conference open to all points of view on achieving animal liberation and provides many opportunities for networking, along with activist support workshops, group discussions, film screenings, and over 100 exhibits that are completely free to visitors.” There’s even an awards banquet honoring activists and celebrities for their contributions to the movement! After the event, attendees are welcome to take part in lobbying and protests.
Without a doubt, the 2019 Animal Rights National Conference is the place to be for animal advocates this summer. Click here for more information and to register today!
