Wow! More Than Half of Americans Plan to Eat More Vegan Foods

The number of people interested in adding more plant-based foods to their diets is growing!

According to a new study by Wakefield Research, 55 percent of Americans plan to eat more vegan foods this year. Latest Vegan News explains:
The research was commissioned by House Foods (a leading tofu purveyor), and the results are in line with other, similar studies and indicators pointing to major change. Plant-based food was named a top trend for 2016, and a 2015 study indicated that 36 percent of Americans are open to plant-based eating.
This is far from the first sign that meat is on the way out.

The USDA reports that 400 million fewer animals were slaughtered in 2014 than in 2007. That’s 400 million individuals who were spared a lifetime of unimaginable suffering.

And just last year, Marketwired reported that plant-based proteins are poised to take a third of the protein market by 2054!

Whether it’s protecting animals, the environment, or your own health, the benefits of a vegan diet have never been clearer, and delicious vegan foods have never been more accessible.
