I desire to volunteer for and participate in activities related to or for Mercy For Animals, Inc., a Delaware not-for-profit corporation (collectively, “volunteering”). By volunteering with MFA, I knowingly and freely agree to the terms of this release and enter into it in favor of MFA. “MFA” means Mercy For Animals, Inc., and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives.

• I understand that by volunteering, I may encounter situations or circumstances that expose me or others to foreseen and unforeseen hazards or risks. I expressly assume all risks, including but not limited to bodily injury, bodily harm, and damages or loss (including to property), whether known or unknown, that may arise or that I may incur.
  
  
• I fully and forever release and discharge MFA from, and expressly waive, any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature that I may have against MFA arising or resulting from volunteering. I understand that this discharges MFA from any liability or any claim that I may have against MFA with respect to any damages, loss, or harm, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, death, loss (including of property) or damage, whether caused by the negligence of MFA or otherwise.
  
  
• I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MFA from any and all liability, claims, losses, damages, and costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising or resulting directly or indirectly from, or in connection with, volunteering.
  
  
• I understand that as a volunteer, MFA will not provide me with financial or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability benefits or insurance.
  
  
• I grant MFA the right to reproduce, distribute, edit, convey, transmit, display, and otherwise use, through any medium or format, in any manner, for any purpose, and by any means as MFA determines, whether internal, promotional, or public use, and without any compensation or additional approval from me: any photographs and/or recordings of me or that include me (“photos”) as part of volunteering, my voice, and/or all or any portion of my name, my likeness, or the content from photos. This includes use by third parties for or on behalf of MFA. I understand that MFA owns all photos, including all copyrights and other intellectual property therein, and that they are the property of MFA.
  
  
• I will comply with the MFA volunteer handbook and all other MFA policies, rules, and procedures as may be determined by MFA, now or in the future. These include but are not limited to confidentiality.
