The Grammy Museum celebrates some of the best and most beautiful accomplishments of human creativity. But behind the scenes of this important institution lurks hidden misery.
The Grammy Museum partners with Wolfgang Puck Catering—a subsidiary of Compass Group USA—to provide meals for their events and guests. While the museum continues their mission of inspiration, their food provider continues to source chickens who are bred to suffer under a system designed for maximum profit at the expense of basic welfare.
The Reality of Rapid Growth
The chickens in Wolfgang Puck Catering’s supply chain are bred to grow so unnaturally large and abnormally fast that their own bodies become their prisons. Because their muscles grow at an accelerated rate, their bones and organs often cannot keep up. This leads to excruciating pain and physical impacts, including heart failure, as their small hearts struggle to pump blood through oversized bodies. Compass Group USA can address this industrialized suffering by prioritizing their commitment to banning chickens bred for rapid growth.

Grammy Museum: Turn Up the Volume
As long as the Grammy Museum allows cruelty to go unchecked in their partner’s supply chain, they are sending a message out of tune with responsible sourcing and customer values. The museum has the responsibility and influence to demand that Wolfgang Puck Catering and Compass Group USA accelerate the implementation of their chicken welfare commitments. We are asking them to speak up for what is right.
