Are You Ready? All-Vegan Restaurant Chain Veggie Grill Boasts Major Expansion

Sarah Von Alt April 14, 2016
One of the nation’s most successful all-vegan fast-food
chains, Veggie Grill, is a West Coast favorite.
Known for its Buffalo Bomber Sandwich and VG-Cheeseburger,
Veggie Grill made a huge splash in 2013 when it announced
plans to double its storefronts
in 18 months. Now the chain not
only enjoys an increased presence in California, but operates restaurants in
Seattle and Portland as well.
Eater
recently revealed that the company has plans for an even greater expansion:

The chain currently operates 29
locations on the traditionally vegan-friendly West Coast, but Veggie Grill’s
expansion plans call for a push into big markets in the Midwest and South,
which aren’t exactly known for plant-based, healthy eating. Future outposts for
Veggie Grill could land in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Miami, and
Washington, D.C.

Veggie Grill’s success is a true sign of the times. With the
growing interest in plant-based eating, the number of delicious vegan
restaurants will only continue to rise.
But you don’t have to wait for a Veggie Grill to open up in
your town. The abundance of vegan alternatives to animal products and
increasing popularity of vegetable-heavy dishes makes now a better time than
ever to ditch meat for good.
