Caribou Coffee Rolls Out Almond Milk at All Locations

Sarah Von Alt August 5, 2015
With people increasingly adopting vegetarian or vegan diets,
more and more restaurants are adding delicious, cruelty-free options to their
menus.
Earlier this week, Caribou Coffee, the second-largest coffee
retailer in the United States, began offering almond milk for all of its
beverages!
According to foodservice publication QSR
magazine, “Caribou Coffee’s addition of almond milk to menus nationwide
provides guests a new dairy-free option to compliment their favorite drinks.
For an additional $0.80, almond milk can be substituted for milk in any hot or
cold beverage. It’s the perfect addition to any coffee or handcrafted beverage
for those consumers looking for dairy alternatives.
This is good news not only for
people who avoid dairy products, but also for the cows who are treated as mere
milk-producing machines on today’s factory farms. As the company posted on its
Facebook page, “Give a cow a break.
MFA has conducted several
undercover investigations at dairy factory farms and each time we’ve
exposed horrific animal abuse,
including cows forcibly and repeatedly impregnated and having their newborn
calves taken from them shortly after birth.
