Yaaassss! Woman Shaves Head to Help Save Farmed Animals

Kristen Diederich August 5, 2015
Would you shave your head for farmed animals? Andi did!
She’d been vegetarian for six years, but like many people,
didn’t realize how badly animals raised for dairy and eggs were treated. After
watching a documentary about the issue she became vegan. Wanting to do more,
Andi set up a fundraising page to raise awareness and more than $1,000 to help
animals.
That’s thousands of pigs, cows, and chickens spared from a
lifetime of misery on factory farms!
So why did she shave her head? “I thought it would bring attention to an
issue that’s more important than a hairstyle.
We think Andi’s new hairstyle looks great and we love that
she’s such a hero for farmed animals.
You can be a hero for animals too, no head shaving required
(although if you want to…). You could dedicate your birthday to the animals and
ask for donations instead of gifts. Or maybe you’re getting married, running a
marathon, or looking for a great reason to dance for 24 hours straight. Do it
for the animals!
Whatever you want to do, MFA is here to help you maximize
your hero status. Our new
fundraising pages
are super easy to set up and can be customized with your
own photos and story.
Don’t have an event coming up? We have a page for that too! Every
dollar raised makes a difference.
BONUS: The first 25 Be a Hero campaigners who
raise $250 will receive a free item of their choice from the MFA Merch Store.
