According to PIX11, a young
cow evaded capture in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park early Tuesday after fleeing
a nearby slaughterhouse.
After running through busy city streets for over two hours,
the cow was cornered and captured in a park by police.
Social media posts show the scared cow dashing between cars
and pedestrians.

These heartbreaking stories are
not uncommon. In fact, this is the fourth
cow to escape a New York City slaughterhouse in just over two years. You
may remember Freddy, a cow
who made the news when he escaped in Queens. He was eventually caught and
brought to an animal sanctuary where he lives peacefully.
We’ve shared several accounts of farmed animals who have
fled transport trucks and slaughterhouses. All animals suffer. All animals value
their lives. No animal volunteers to be killed for meat.
If you find yourself cheering for animals running for their
lives, then it’s time you aligned your food choices with your values. Choose to
leave all animals off your plate. Click here to get started.
