Here’s Even More Evidence That “Humane” Labels Are Meaningless

Joe Loria October 6, 2017
Many people think that by eating “humane meat they’re doing
the right thing. Sadly, they’re being deceived.
For starters, no government agency actually regulates the use
of the word “humane on animal products. Yes, you read that right. It’s left up
to the meat producers to decide what’s “humane and what isn’t.
So what exactly does “humane mean to the factory farming
industry? Just look at this 2015 Mercy For Animals undercover investigation at
a Foster Farms facility that was certified “humane by the American Humane
Association. It’s truly a horror show.
What’s more, animals at all farms, even so-called humane ones,
are routinely mutilated without painkillers, ripped away from their mothers
soon after birth, and violently slaughtered.
Animals want to live just like we do. We’ve all seen the
countless videos of frightened animals running for their lives from transport
trucks and slaughterhouses. They’re devastating. The question must be asked: How
can unnecessary killing ever be humane? The truth is that it can’t.
Pigs, cows, chickens, and other farmed animals are just as
sensitive and intelligent as the dogs and cats we love at home. They should be
treated with the same respect and consideration, not continually abused and
brutally slaughtered.
While labels like “certified humane may make you feel
better, the reality is that the meat industry slaps these on to hide the truth.
Feel lied to? Join the millions of people ditching animal
products
and switching to the only truly humane diet, veganism.
