Interest in Veganism DOUBLES on Google

Growing evidence makes it ever more apparent that veganism
is on the rise.

explains, “According to Google Trends, a tool that analyzes
the relative popularity of search terms over time, the interest in ‘veganism’
on Google has been on a worldwide upward climb since 2009. In fact, it’s more
than doubled in the last six years.
But this isn’t the only encouraging statistic.
According to the USDA,
400 million fewer animals were slaughtered in 2014 than in 2007. That’s 400
million individuals who were spared a lifetime of unimaginable suffering.
And global market research company Mintel recently found
that 36
percent of Americans purchase meat alternatives
at least some of the time.
Animals raised for meat are kept cramped in filthy,
disease-ridden factory farm conditions and are often subjected to mutilations without painkillers and a ruthless slaughter.
Whether it’s protecting animals, the environment, or your
own health, the benefits of a vegan diet have never been clearer, and delicious
vegan foods have never been more accessible.
