In what seems to be a pretty consistent trend, meat prices
are expected to continue rising in the coming months.
According to The
Columbus Dispatch
, “Beef
and pork continue to fly in record-price territory as poultry and fish prices
also are rising ahead of overall food inflation, according to the U.S.
Department of Agriculture. …
… Relief
in the meat aisle isn’t coming this year, or next, or maybe ever.
Earlier this year, The
Wall Street Journal
highlighted the increasing cost of meat and other
animal products, noting that fruits and vegetables account for some of the
smallest price increases in the last year.
