Missouri State Rep Announces Controversial Bill by Ripping Head Off Live Chicken

Joe Loria June 15, 2017
According to CNN, Missouri state representative Mike Moon went on Facebook Live and ripped the head off a chicken. Then he reached inside the dying bird’s body and grabbed what he believed to be the innocent animal’s heart.
You see him covered in blood with the chicken’s heart in his hand, and he says, “I think we need to get the heart of the matter here. This blatantly sadistic act was done all for the announcement of an anti-abortion bill.
Regardless of where you stand on abortion, we can all agree that what Representative Moon did to this animal is deplorable.
Sadly, however, this happens regularly to chickens at factory farms.
Mercy For Animals recently obtained undercover footage at several Lilydale chicken supplier farms that shows workers ripping off the heads and legs of live chickens; violently jamming birds into overcrowded transport crates; running over live birds with forklifts; and hitting, kicking, and throwing chickens.
Don’t believe us? See for yourself.
Chickens are incredibly intelligent individuals with unique personalities. They feel pain and suffering just like dogs and cats and have a strong will to live.
We can take a stand for all animals subjected to factory farm cruelty by switching to a compassionate vegan diet. Click here to get started!
