Popular punk rock band Rise Against will release a limited-edition
7 featuring a still from MFA’s Bettencourt Dairies undercover video on the
album cover.
Will
Potter, author of the groundbreaking book Green
Is the New Red, will provide a spoken
word track on the new release entitled “We Will Never Forget. The music-and-spoken
piece lays bare the cruelty of factory farms and the insidiousness of the meat
industry’s attempts to pass ag-gag laws—legislation that seeks to make
undercover investigations illegal.
The
new album comes out on April 18 for Record Store Day.
“If
factory farms get their way, you’ll never be able to see photographs like the
cover of this Rise Against
record, the album press release quotes Potter.
“Seven states have already passed new ‘ag-gag’
laws that make it illegal to photograph animal cruelty without the farm’s
approval, and more states are considering these bills right now.
Adopting a diet
free of meat, dairy, and eggs is the single most powerful action you can take
