New Yorkers Brew Up Tasty Tricks and Treats to Benefit MFA

Nathan Runkle November 2, 2010

More than 150 MFA supporters in New York gathered for vegan food, fun and frights at the Alicia Silverstone approved Veggie Conquest Halloween Party to benefit MFA. With clever confectioners making gobs of tasty treats for the vegan candy making competition, spirited spooks strutting their most creative Halloween attire for the costume contest and rambunctious revelers dancing to the musical stylings of DJ Lil Ray, the Veggie Conquest Halloween bash raised more than $1000 to support MFA’s work on behalf of farmed animals!

vegan goodies 4.jpgCongratulations to Yana Lyubovitsky for winning the candy making competition with her delightful vegan chocolate bars and to Kate Wolff for taking home the Best Vegan Costume award with her animal-friendly version of Lady Gaga’s infamous meat dress! Thanks also to Michael Parrish Dudell from Ecorazzi.com, Vegdaily.com and Live a Damn radio, for emceeing this popular event, and to Jessica Mahady of Veggie Conquest and her team of dedicated volunteers for scaring up such tremendous support for MFA’s efforts to end the horrors of modern animal agriculture.
