Oscar Mayer to Launch Its First-Ever Plant-Based Hot Dog and Sausage

Kimberly Johnson March 6, 2024

Another one of America’s best-known staples is getting a vegan makeover! Kraft Heinz has announced that Oscar Mayer will launch its first-ever plant-based offerings, vegan hot dogs and sausages, later this year.

According to reports, the new plant-based products, NotHotDogs ($5.99) and NotSausage ($7.99), will roll out nationwide just in time for summer. The company says the animal-free dogs will taste just like their animal-based counterparts, which have been on store shelves for over 140 years, and offer a “smoky, savory taste and thick, juicy bite.”

Oscar Mayer vegan hot dogs and sausages are the result of a partnership between Kraft Heinz and NotCo, a startup that led to vegan boxed Kraft Mac & Cheese, mayonnaise, and cheese slices, which rolled out in 2023.

While we wait for the Oscar Mayer vegan hot dogs and sausages to hit store shelves, many other delicious and compassionate franks are available to satisfy any craving. Link up with our list of vegan hot dogs, and let us know which one is your favorite.
