According to The Telegraph, the U.K.’s last
independent sausage company is introducing a vegan line to attract millennials.
Reports from just about everywhere show millennials
are consuming less meat. This fact caught the attention of sausage brand Heck,
which has launched a range of products that replace meat with quinoa, kale, chia
seeds, and other plant-based ingredients.
Founder Andrew Kebble states:

We were apprehensive launching this
range as a meat business. But when we look to the future, it’s clear that people
are reducing the amount of meat in their diets.

The new line includes vegetarian burgers, balls, and
sausages. Kebble says that so far sales are doing “amazingly well.
Vegan products continue to be one of the fastest-growing
consumer trends. By switching to a plant-based diet you can help protect the planet,
improve your health,
and reduce animal suffering.
