This Popular London Restaurant Ditched Dairy and No One Even Noticed

Sarah Von Alt June 15, 2016
Indigo, a popular London restaurant, has ditched dairy.
Citing an increased number of guests requesting dairy-free dishes, Executive
Chef Dominic Teague decided to revamp his menu.
Several months have passed and so far
no one has noticed.
“No one has said anything. We have regulars who have all
given great comments about the new menu but not about it being gluten or dairy
free, Teague told The
Standard
.
This isn’t the first popular restaurant to offer more veg-friendly
dishes or do away with animal products altogether.
Earlier this year, a New York restaurateur made headlines
after announcing he would switch to completely plant-based
menus at all of his 15 bars and restaurants
!
As more people become aware of the egregious animal cruelty
and environmental destruction involved in meat production, the popularity of
vegan eating grows. More restaurants are adding veg options to their menus as a
result.
On modern farms, animals are denied
everything that makes life worth living. Subjected to extreme confinement,
painful mutilations, and a ruthless slaughter, their short lives are filled
with fear and pain.
See for yourself:
There’s never been a better time to ditch cruel animal products
in favor of delicious (and increasingly available) veg options.
