Thanks for the Almond Milk, Starbucks, but Peet’s Now Has Vegan Whipped Cream

Joe Loria August 15, 2016
Starbucks recently announced it would soon carry almond milk, but Peet’s Coffee & Tea just outdid them by announcing they would soon carry vegan whipped cream. Yep, you read that right!
According to the vegan blog MyVeganJournal.com, the dairy-free whipped cream used to be carried only seasonally, but the company said in a statement, “Peet’s Whipped Coconut Cream topping will be a permanent addition to the menu and can be substituted across beverages. Additionally, Peet’s offers almond and soy milks as well as vegan baked goods.
This is great news for the growing vegan population! Dairy-free alternatives are not only healthier and more delicious; they’re also cruelty-free.
Animal abuse runs rampant in the dairy industry. Mother cows are repeatedly and forcibly impregnated and then have their babies stolen from them so the milk can be taken for humans.
Thankfully, now it’s easier than ever to enjoy delicious dairy-free products. We applaud Starbucks and Peet’s for making compassionate options available!
