Vegan artist Sue Coe has been chosen to receive the prestigious Dickinson College Arts Award, an honor bestowed in the past on such luminaries as Robert Frost, David Mamet, and Twyla Tharp.
For those who are unfamiliar with Coe’s work, much of it focuses on the horrors of factory farming. Her attention to detail and her ability to capture emotion are truly arresting.
An artist for more than four decades, Coe has published several books featuring her work and her pieces have been on display at such prominent museums as MoMA and the Whitney.
