Promoting Green Food Choices at the NYC Ecofest

Although more and more people drive hybrid cars, install environmentally-friendly light bulbs, and adopt other practices to reduce global warming, many are still unaware of the huge impact of a meat-based diet on the greenhouse effect.

nycecofest.jpgSo, this past weekend Mercy For Animals was proud to be a part of New York City’s 21st annual Ecofest, a popular event where people can access information and resources to move towards a “greener earth”; MFA volunteers reached out to thousands of New Yorkers in beautiful Central Park with the message that a plant-based diet reduces greenhouse gases as well as air and water pollution.
